Three National Parks of Rajasthan

The wildlife trail of Rajasthan is indeed charismatic as the state unfolds the not one but three canvasses painted in green. Bestowed with immense gratitude and blessed with exotic charm, the three national parks of Rajasthan calls for an exploration. They are must on any wildlife enthusiast diary.

  • Sariska National Park- One of the famous tiger reserve in India, Sariska national park is amongst the most visited tiger reserves in India. Lately it was in news for depletion of Tigers from the seen but the state government is trying its level best to conserve the remaining Tigers. Sariska National Park was designated as Project Tiger in 1979 and is located in Aravalli hill ranges in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. The reserve was declared a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1958. The best time to visit Sariska National park is from October to April.
  • Ranthambore National Park - Spanning over an area of 1,334 sq.k., Ranthambore Park in Rajasthan India was declared a national park in 1980 and was part of Project Tiger in India. It is one of the major tiger hubs located in the eastern part of Rajasthan. The best time to unfurl the beauty of Rajasthan is from October to March. There are around 272 bird species and 300 types of vegetation and plants.
  • Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary - Also known as the Keoldeo National park, this green zone nestles itself in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan and was set up in 1981. This is the famous parks where Siberan Cranes of Australia visit every year in the month of November and December. It is often called the 'Ornithologist's Paradise' . The bird sanctuary gain the status of the National Park on 10th March 1982, and it was declared a World Heritage Site in December 1985.
